3 Parts Of Ag Education

Agronomical Educational activity is a career and technical education program for students interested in a career in the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Career Cluster. Agricultural Didactics programs are housed in local middle and high schools and are office of Career and Technical Didactics.

Agronomical Education Model

Agricultural Instruction is composed of iii distinct, inter-related components: Classroom & Laboratory Instruction; Experiential Learning, and Leadership Development. In order for a program to be most effective all three components must be in identify and active.

Classroom & Laboratory Education

In the classroom, students are introduced to concepts and theories dealing with a wide range of agricultural topics, based on state academic and occupational standards. Classroom instruction is followed by laboratory educational activity, where the concepts and theories can be carried through to their real world applications. Students so learn by doing through hands-on practise.

Experiential Learning

Skills learned through classroom and laboratory pedagogy are farther developed and reinforced through the piece of work based learning component of the program, known equally Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Students plan, carry out and go on records on their SAE's. This component allows the pupil to work and learn in a real-world setting and to develop the skills needed for college and career readiness.

Leadership Development – FFA Student Arrangement

The co-curricular student organization, FFA, provides an artery for students to "develop premier leadership, personal growth and career success, through agricultural education"*. FFA offers students many ways to develop and grow every bit a person. It provides incentive for improved educatee operation through its awards, scholarship, and leadership programs.
